Dr. Ishara Ranawaka is a dedicated General Practitioner at our clinic, who will always go the extra mile to help solve the problems of the ill. She obtained her primary qualification of MBBS from the University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka in 2015. After qualifying, she successfully treated patients in several hospitals in Sri Lanka in a wide variety of specialties to broaden her experience.
She has a lengthy experience in General Surgery and General Medicine units, and has senior level experience in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Management.
She also has more than 5 years of General Practice Experience in Sri Lanka.
From 2022, Dr. Ranawaka worked as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine in Campbelltown hospital and Camden Hospital for 3 years. She also completed Foundational Emergency Medicine Training Program (FEMTP) offered by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) while she was working in the Emergency Department.
She started her career as a General Practitioner in Australia in 2025. Dr. Ranawaka enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in Paediatrics, General Medicine, Women’s Health and Cardiology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ranawaka loves painting and music.
She is a full-time GP at our clinic and speaks English and Sinhalese.
